Hytale features numerous biomes for players to explore. While biomes and zones can differ from world to world, the starting planet of Orbis will feature a wide range of biomes to explore. Each zone contains different biomes, each with its own unique features. With the revival of Hytale, additional biomes and zones may become available throughout the early access period.

Ocean
Oceans are the largest biomes on Orbis, and can be found surrounding the islands where the main zones can be found, extending out to the Infinite Lands. The oceans on Orbis have a variety of areas, including Shallow Reefs and Abyssal Trenches. Additionally, players can find Sunken Ships or Ruins to explore, provided that they have a Diving Device.
Pine Forests
The Pine Forests are a prominent biome within the Borea zone, featuring tall pine trees, and serving as one of the few biomes not completely covered in snow within the region. The Pine Forests are a great place for players to make their homes, providing access to rivers and allowing players to build their homes high in the trees.
Autumn Forest
The Autumn Forest is located within the Emerald Grove Zone. Featuring beautiful scenery and variety of wildlife, players can find numerous resources, such as pumpkins, mushrooms, and several forms of glowing plants. The mobs within the zone are yet to be announced, but the scenery alone makes it an ideal location for players to build their homes.
Oasis
The Oasis is one of the biomes available within the Howling Sands, featuring clear ponds, and rich with flora and fauna looking to escape the scorching heat. The oasis features Unique Materials, and a variety of wildlife, making it an essential location for any players looking to build their homes within the Howling Sands.
Swamp
The Swamp biome is a vast marshland featured within the Emerald Grove zone. This marshy wonderland features spotted bodies of water, clusters of large trees, and features wildlife such as Frogs, Fen Stalkers, and the peaceful Kweebecs. While dangerous, the swamps can be a unique biome for players to explore or settle.
Snowy Forests
The Snowy Forests are a biome featured prominently within the Borea zone. Featuring snow-capped trees with impressive scenery of distant mountains, and dangerous wildlife including the Yeti, Elemental Golems, or Outlanders. While settling in this snow-covered wonderland may be more difficult than other biomes, the scenery and nearby resources make it a solid option for prospective settlers.
Snowy Mountains
The Snowy Mountains are another biome within the Borea zone, featuring massive, snow-covered mountains and breathtaking scenery. These mountains are likely home to fearsome enemies, be sure to come prepared with gear, and food to survive the harsh landscape. Players looking to create their homes in the mountainside may struggle to locate necessary resources that are plentiful to other biomes.
Ice Caves
The final biome within the Borea zone is the Ice Caves. Featuring vast underground caverns with a wide variety of resources and unique wildlife. Players can explore these caves to survive the harsh landscape above, or acquire the various resources by mining the rich cavern walls.
Tropical Forest
The Tropical Forest is a biome prominently seen on Islands. These tropical islands tend to feature tall trees unique to the biome, as well as breathtaking beaches or deadly volcanoes. The land in these forests tends to be rocky, with grass covering most of the ground area. Tropical forests can serve many uses, the main benefit being quick-access to underwater ruins and shipwrecks.
Tropical Jungle
The Tropical Jungle is a prominent biome within the Devastated Lands zone. Located underground, these vast jungles have survived the fire-scorched plains above, featuring tall trees, bodies of water, and a massive variety of plant and wild life. Players can find many resources, including glowing plants, giant herbs, and can even encounter the elusive Slothians or the fearsome Cave Rexes.
