Appointing admins to a Hytale server, also known as 'operators' or OPs, is a great way to spread the workload for server owners, allowing them to appoint a team of moderators to help manage the server. Server administrators can execute a wide range of functions, including spawning items, kicking or banning troublemakers, and even managing multiple worlds.

1. Join the server. Learn how to here.

2. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

3. Start the server.

4. Go to the Console tab.

5. Enter the following command: /op add <PlayerName>

6. To remove an operator, enter the command: /op remove <PlayerName>

Commands can also be used in-game by existing operators.

How to Allow Operators to Self-Assign on a Hytale Server

Note: This setting allows any player to assign themselves as an operator.

1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

2. Stop the server.

3. Go to the Startup tab.

4. Toggle the Allow Operators setting on.

5. Start the server.

7. Press / on the keyboard to bring up the chat box, and enter /op self.
