Hytale servers can adjust the settings for their worlds to lengthen or shorten day and night durations. By changing the durations, players can have less frequent night-time on the server, or create harrowing worlds where the sun rarely appears. This setting is adjusted per world, allowing users to create different experiences all from the same server. Other settings for worlds include death penalties, fall damage, and more.
