Downloading a Valheim world is a great way to keep server backups, test new mod installations, or set up server worlds with impressive structures offline. This allows players to retain progressed saves locally, freeing up opportunities to start fresh with new content updates, or simply continue playing offline. Downloaded worlds can be stored locally or in the cloud, and can be freely moved from one server to another.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Files tab.
4. Open the worlds_local folder.
5. Right-click the desired world and choose Download.
6. Open the Run menu by pressing the Windows + R keys.
7. Enter the following: %localappdata%low\IronGate\Valheim\ and press OK.
8. Open the worlds_local folder.
Note: If not present, the
worlds_localfolder can be created manually or generated by moving an existing cloud save to local.
9. Unzip the downloaded world into the folder.
10. Launch Valheim.
11. Click Start Game and select a character.
12. The world will be listed in the Start Game tab.
