Palworld features a special mechanic for breeding farms, where pal eggs can occasionally become mutated. These mutated pals use a different breeding combination list and always come with higher stats, ranks, and high-tier passives, making them a worthwhile endeavor for aspiring pal breeders. While the chances for a mutated egg to appear are small, they can be increased with specific cakes, and are a great way to obtain the best pals without acquiring them naturally.
1. Mutated Eggs are special eggs obtained from the Breeding Farm. Mutated eggs will produce a different set of pals, with higher base stats and rare passives.
2. By default, eggs have about a 1% Chance Per Egg to be mutated. This can be increased to 3% by using Extravagant Vegetable Cakes (Tier 60).
3. Extravagant Vegetable Cakes require 12 Flour, 8 Cotton Candy, 10 Potatoes, 6 Onions, and 8 Carrots.
4. While most of the resources require Farming, Cotton Candy can be acquired by assigning the Woolipop pal to a Ranch or killing them in the wild.
5. The vegetable cakes have a High Workload, be sure to assign numerous high Fire Suitability pals and use the Large-Scale Stone Oven to shorten the cooking time.
6. Bring the completed cakes to the Breeding Farm Box, located just to the right of the buildings entrance.
7. Any cakes placed in the farm Do Not Spoil, making it possible to stockpile large amounts.
8. Assign the desired Male and Female pals to the breeding farm.
9. Note that mutations have Special Combinations, be sure to check a Breeding Calculator to determine available mutations.
10. The pals will produce 1 Egg per Cake, with a small chance to produce Mutated Eggs.
11. The mutated eggs will have an Altered Visual, making them easily identifiable.
12. Mutated Pals will always come with 2 Ranks, and a special Tier 4 Passive Skill. They will also feature higher base stats, and always come out as their Alpha Version.
