Palworld allows players to enhance their pals in various ways. Either by adding traits through the surgery table or breeding the perfect pal. To enhance them further however, players must either seek out awakened pals, or awaken one of their choice, drastically increasing their power. When combined with pal condensing, players can take the base stats of the best pals to new heights, easily clearing some of the hardest content the game has to offer.
1. Awakened Pals are enhanced versions of normal pals with Improved Base Stats as well as a distinct Golden Aura and Border.
2. Lucky Pals found in the wild also have a small chance to be Awakened. This is the only way to find an awakened pal naturally.
3. To awaken a pal manually, players must acquire Radiant Gems.
4. Each gem has a specific Element, and can only be used on pals of the listed type.
5. To acquire radiant gems, players can use the Relic Recycler or open chests, kill monsters, and complete activities in the World Tree.
5. To combine the gems into an Awakening Crystal. Players must use an Ancient Workbench.
6. The recipe for Awakening Crystals is 50 Radiant Gems of the same type, and 10 World Tree Holy Water.
7. After crafting the Awakening Crystal, place a pal with a matching Element into the Party.
8. Right-click the Awakening Crystal in the inventory.
9. Select the desired pal.
10. The pal will be improved with a Golden Aura Visual Effect and Enhanced Base Stats.
11. The pal will also receive a Golden Border around their portrait, so they can be easily identified.
