Setting the weather on a Hytale server allows creators to establish a specific thematic atmosphere, ensuring the environment matches the intended mood of a build or quest. It provides gameplay consistency by preventing random storms from disrupting visibility or player movement during events or cinematics. Additionally, controlling the climate enables builders to showcase their work under optimal lighting conditions, highlighting architectural details that might be obscured by fog or rain.
