Hytale servers can upload custom prefabs to their server. This allows players to use their own custom creations or download them from popular modding sites like CurseForge. By installing a prefab, operators can select the structure and place it anywhere, instantly creating elaborate buildings or terrain. This is an excellent option for players to make their homes in Hytale's various biomes and zones.
Requirement: Spawning prefabs requires players to have Operator access.
1. Download the desired prefab from a site like CurseForge.
2. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
3. Stop the server.
4. Go to the Files tab.
5. Open the Create dropdown and select Create Folder.
6. Name the folder prefabs and press Create.
7. Open the prefabs folder.
8. Upload the desired prefabs .zip file.
9. Right-click the file and choose Unarchive.
Note: Unzipped prefab files must end in
.prefab.json.
10. Start the server.
11. Launch Hytale.
12. Join the server. Learn how to here.
13. Press Tab on the keyboard and go to Creative Tools.
14. Open the World dropdown and choose Prefab List.
15. Click on Assets to open the file location menu and choose Server.
16. Select the uploaded prefab file from step 9.
17. Press Spawn.
18. The player will be granted the Paste Tool and can place the prefab as desired.
