Starting a farm in Hytale offers a deeply immersive experience where players can cultivate a diverse range of crops and manage livestock within a vibrant, living ecosystem. Farming in the game rewards Essence of Life, allowing players to transform a small plot into a thriving, self-sustaining homestead. Beyond providing a reliable food source, the farm serves as a peaceful and creative retreat, as well as a central hub for adventures across the Orbis landscape.
1. Craft a Workbench.
2. From the Workbench, go to the Crafting tab.
3. Craft the Farmer's Workbench.
4. From the Farmer's Workbench, craft a Hoe. Better tiered items are unlocked by upgrading the workbench on the right.
5. Find seeds. Seeds can be found in random chests or crafted at the Farmer's Workbench.
Note: Essence of Life is harvested from crops or found in chests.
6. With the Hoe equipped, till the desired soil.
7. Plant the seeds from step 5.
Seeds can grow faster with a Watering Can. The watering can is crafted from the Farmer's Workbench and requires a water source to fill.
8. Once matured, harvest the plants.
Plants can also be harvested with Shears. Shears are crafted from the Farmer's Workbench.
9. Use the Essence of Life to buy more seeds from the Farmer's Workbench and grow the farm!
