Valheim has many public beta branches for testing new content or reverting to stable builds before significant content additions. This feature allows players to keep their server mods stable or test out new, exciting updates before their public release. Players must set their game versions to play on a server running a specific branch. Note that when changing server versions, it is best practice to start a new save.

1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

2. Stop the server.

3. Go to the Startup tab.

4. From the Steam Beta Branch dropdown, select the desired branch. Ensure the setting is toggled on.

Note: Ensure Auto Update is Enabled.

5. Start the server.

How to Enable a Steam Beta for Valheim (Local)

1. Right-click Valheim in Steam and choose Properties.

2. Go to the Game Versions & Betas tab.

3. On the Selected Game Version table, select a branch.
