Valheim has many public beta branches for testing new content or reverting to stable builds before significant content additions. This feature allows players to keep their server mods stable or test out new, exciting updates before their public release. Players must set their game versions to play on a server running a specific branch. Note that when changing server versions, it is best practice starting a new save.

1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

2. Stop the server.

3. Go to the Startup tab.

4. From the Steam Beta Branch section, toggle on the setting and select the desired branch.

5. Start the server.

How to Enable a Steam Beta for Valheim (Local)

1. Right-click Valheim in Steam and choose Properties.

2. Go to the Betas tab.

3. Select the desired branch from the Beta Participation dropdown menu.
