Modded maps on a Project Zomboid server can provide players with new and unique locations to explore, adding more variety to the game. These maps range from small additions, such as new buildings or places, to full-scale custom maps. Incorporating custom maps into a Project Zomboid server can provide players with more content, challenges, and opportunities for exploration and creativity.
Requirement: A custom map must be installed. Learn how to here.
Note: A world reset is recommended when adding maps.
1. Visit the modded map’s Steam Workshop page.
2. Copy the Map Folder within the description.
3. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
4. Stop the server.
5. Go to the Files tab.
6. Find the following directory: /home/container/.cache/server
7. Open the [Save/Config].ini file. The file is labeled depending on the Save/Config Name on the Startup tab.
8. On the Map= line, input the Map Folder before Muldraugh, KY, separated by a semicolon (;).
e.g.: MapFolder1;MapFolder2;Muldraugh, KY
9. Press Save.
10. Select the Server directory.
11. Open the [Save/Config]_spawnregions.lua file.
12. Within SpawnRegions(), enter the following line:

14. Start the server.
How to Manually Find the Map Folder for a Modded Map
1. Go to the Steam Workshop or use PZ ID Grabber to find the map’s Workshop ID.
2. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
3. Go to the Files tab.
4. Find the following directory: /home/container/steamapps/workshop/content/108600/<Workshop ID>/mods/<Mod Name>/<Build Version>/
5. Open mod.info.
