DayZ servers can be made secure and private by adding a password. This ensures that only users with the password can access the server, preventing strangers from doing so. In addition, creating a private DayZ server can foster a close community, as only users with the password can join. While not as secure as whitelisting, adding a password to a DayZ server provides extra security, preventing most bad actors and unwanted users from joining.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Startup tab.
4. In the Server Password field, enter the desired password.
5. Start the server.
