DayZ servers offer many customizable settings that adjust various gameplay aspects. One popular modification is changing how long it takes for one full day to pass in-game. By default, a day in DayZ lasts two hours, split evenly between day and night. This can be further customized not only by changing the overall length but also by adjusting the speed of nights. This can be very helpful for newer players who may not be ready for the much more challenging experience nighttime brings in DayZ.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Startup tab.
4. In the Time Multiplier field, enter the desired multiplier. This number will multiply the speed of one full 24-hour day. 1 would make a day pass in real-time, while 24 would make a day pass in 1 hour.
The Night Multiplier section is an additional modifier that speeds up or slows down nights in the game. This value is multiplied by the Time Multiplier.
Note: Setting the Night Multiplier to
2would make night-time twice as fast while maintaining the overall day length specified by the Time Multiplier.
