Kicking and banning are administrative actions in DayZ used by server admins to maintain order and enforce server rules. When a player is kicked, they are forcibly removed from the server temporarily, typically as a warning for rule violations or disruptive behavior. Banning, on the other hand, is a more severe action where a player is permanently denied access to the server due to repeated infractions or severe misconduct, ensuring a better gaming experience for other players on the server.
Note: The server admin also has the ability to kick/ban players. Learn how to become an admin here.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Start the server.
3. Go to the Console tab.
4. Find the player's data upon login.
5. Copy the player's UID.
6. Go to the Files tab.
7. Open the ban.txt file.
8. Paste the player's UID from step 5 in a new line.
9. Press the Save button.
