Changing the welcome message on a Project Zomboid server is a great way to inform players of rules, active chat filters, or available community Discords. By default, the welcome message includes information on navigating local or global chats and using chat commands. Players can add on to this default message if they want to include it, and even format it to their liking. Utilizing the server message is also a good way to let players know where most players are located, helping them decide their starting locations.
