Starcatcher is a feature that puts a Minecraft server to sleep after an extended period of player inactivity. While this function is enabled by default, servers can choose to remain online even when empty. Otherwise, it can be manually resumed via the Starbase panel or automatically activated when a player connects to the server.
How to Disable Server Sleeping on a Minecraft Server
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Select the Settings tab and choose Server Settings.
3. Disable the Starcatcher Sleeping button.
4. Press Save Changes.
5. Restart the server.
How to Change the Message of the Day on a Sleeping Minecraft Server
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Select the Settings tab and choose Server Settings.
3. In the Message of the Day field, modify the text as desired.
4. Press Save Changes.
5. Restart the server.
6. The message will display in the Minecraft server list.
How to Wake a Sleeping Minecraft Server (Panel)
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Select the sleeping server.
3. Wake the server.
How to Wake a Sleeping Minecraft Server (In-game)
1. Launch Minecraft.
2. Select the sleeping server.
3. Hit Join Server.
4. The server will wake and come online after its initial startup.
