Implementing a reverse proxy for a Minecraft server provides a crucial layer of security by hiding the host's personal IP address behind a public-facing gateway, effectively mitigating the risk of DDoS attacks. It streamlines network management by allowing traffic to route through standard web ports and managing multiple server instances under a single, user-friendly domain. Furthermore, a proxy can improve the player experience by load balancing and global traffic routing, helping reduce latency and provide a more stable connection.
Requirement: A custom domain pointing to the Minecraft server is used for the reverse proxy.
