Windrose offers three different ship types for players to progress through as they acquire new resources and obtain levels. These ships also have archetypes that can greatly alter their gameplay, such as the Blackbeard variants, which allow for more powerful cannons, or the Brethren variant, which allows for higher survivability. Players will still want to prepare their characters for higher-level ship combat, equipping their best armor sets and weapons to withstand tough enemies during boarding.
1. To purchase the Brigantine Ship Design, speak to the Brethren of The Coast Provisioner.
2. Purchase the Ship Design: Brig schematic for 1000 Piastre. The schematic also requires Level 2 Reputation with Brethren of The Coast.
3. To level Brethren of The Coast reputation, talk to their Bounty Agent on Tortuga.
3. Bounty agents accept Insignia's or Letters of Favor, which can be obtained from quests, places of interest, or ship combat.
4. Piastre can also be obtained in greater amounts by boarding Cargo Ships. They can be identified by their gold names and chest icons.
5. After purchasing the schematic, open a Wharf crafting station.
6. Go to the Shipyard tab.
7. Select the desired Brigantine Variant. Brethren variants provide increased HP and cargo, while Blackbeard variants allow for powerful cannons.
