In Windrose, many groups prefer to play cooperatively by traveling together on a single, shared vessel. During intense sea battles, crew members frequently need to access the ship's cargo to grab repair materials or to check on recently looted resources. Since the base game currently restricts this inventory access strictly to the ship's owner, players can install the ShareShip mod to allow anyone aboard to open the ship's management interface. As the mod grants universal access to the hold, it is primarily intended for private co-op servers with trusted groups.

1. Download the ShareShip mod here.

2. Minimize the .zip file to use later in the tutorial.

3. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

4. Stop the server.

5. Go to the Files tab.

6. Find the following directory: /home/container/R5/Content/Paks

7. Select the Create tab and choose Create Folder.

8. Name the folder ~mods and hit Create.

9. Open the ~mods folder.

10. Upload the .zip file from step 2.

11. Right-click the .zip file and choose Unarchive.

12. Start the server.

How to Access Crew Ship Storage on a Windrose Client

1. Download the ShareShip mod here.

2. Minimize the .zip file to use later in the tutorial.

3. From the Steam Library, right-click Windrose, hover Manage, and select Browse local files.

4. Find the following directory: \Windrose\R5\Content\Paks

5. Create a new folder and name it ~mods.

6. Extract the .zip file from step 2 into the ~mods folder.

7. Verify the mod path matches the following: \Windrose\R5\Content\Paks\~mods\ShareShip\<ShareShip_P files>

8. Join the server.
