Windrose servers allow players to customize various world options to their liking, including enabling or disabling shared quest progress. This feature can be useful for servers with a wide range of players progressing at different paces, ensuring no content is missed and allowing individual progression. This can affect large-scale quests, such as the Coastal Jungle Threat, rescuing the ship crew, and more. Shared quest progress can always be enabled later without needing to start from scratch.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Files tab.
4. Enter the R5 folder.
5. Open ServerDescription.json.
6. On the "WorldIslandID" line, take note of the ID.
7. Click container on the upper left.
8. Find the following directory: /home/container/R5/Saved/SaveProfiles/Default/RocksDB/<game version>/Worlds
9. Enter the folder that matches the ID in step 6.
10. Open WorldDescription.json.
11. Change the \"WDS.Parameter.Coop.SharedQuests\"}" value to false.
12. Press Save.
13. Start the server.
Note: The [Shared quest progress] tag may still appear on quests after disabling. This is a visual bug, and quest progress will not be shared.
