Windrose servers can install various mods to enhance gameplay on their servers. The two key types of mods are Lua and Pak mods. Lua mods require UE4SS, while pak mods can be installed on servers and locally at any time. A majority of mods for Windrose are Pak mods and require both the client and the server to have the mods installed to ensure functionality. Mods can range from adding recipes to players to expanding levels, stack sizes, and more.

How to Install Pak Mods on a Windrose Server

1. Download the desired Windrose mod here.

2. Extract the mod into an empty folder.

3. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

4. Stop the server.

5. Go to the Files tab.

6. Find the following directory: /home/container/R5/Content/Paks

7. Open the Create dropdown and choose Create Folder.

8. Name the folder ~mods and press Create.

9. Upload the mod into the ~mods folder.

10. Start the server.

How to Install Pak Mods for Windrose Locally

1. Download the desired Windrose mod here.

2. From the Steam library, right-click Windrose, hover Manage, and choose Browse local files.

3. Find the following directory: \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Windrose\R5\Content\Paks

4. Enter the ~mods folder. If not present, create the folder.

5. Unzip the desired pak mods into the folder.

6. Launch Windrose.
