SCUM servers can adjust various settings, such as day length, to customize how their world progresses. In addition to changing the darkness level, players can adjust how quickly time progresses, or when sunrise and sunset occur. For dedicated servers, this can create time-based servers at realistic scales, allowing users to create immersive experiences.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Select the Config Files tab and choose Server Settings.
4. Navigate to the Time Settings from the [World] section.
5. Adjust the scum.TimeOfDaySpeed value to change the scale at which time progresses. For example, a value of 1.0 would result in real-time scaling.
6. Adjust the scum.SunriseTime or scum.SunsetTime values to set the in-game hour at which they occur.
7. Press Save.
8. Start the server.
