BattlEye serves as the standard anti-cheat for SCUM, but disabling it can occasionally be necessary for highly specific administrative reasons. Private communities and closed roleplay groups sometimes turn off this security measure to run specialized local testing or experiment with custom tools. Deactivating the service is also common for isolated server environments where only trusted friends are allowed to join. Bypassing the anti-cheat protocols can resolve certain strict connectivity issues or false flags encountered during complex community events.
