Hytale Memories serves as a central progression mechanic and discovery log that rewards players for exploring the diverse world of Orbis. This system is activated at the Forgotten Temple, where interacting with the Heart of Orbis statue enables the collection of creature memories. As explorers encounter new creatures, small blue orbs known as Memories are naturally gathered and stored. These collected items are returned to the temple to unlock permanent upgrades, such as new crafting recipes, expanded inventory slots, and teleporter access.

1. Equip armor and weapons.

2. Press M to open the map.

3. Locate the Forgotten Temple Gateway. The spawn varies as worlds are procedurally generated.

4. Travel to the Forgotten Temple.

5. Enter the Forgotten Temple.

6. Descend the stairs.

7. Defeat the golem or make a run for the portal.

8. Enter the portal.

9. The player will teleport to the true Forgotten Temple.

10. Head down to the shrine at the center.

11. Press F to interact with the Heart of Orbis statue.

12. Select Discover Memories.

13. Memories are now unlocked.

14. Encounter creatures in the world to collect new memories.

15. Collected Memories are temporarily stored in the Inventory.

16. Return to the Heart of Orbis statue to Record Memories.

17. View unlocked memories by selecting the category.

18. Earn a variety of rewards based on the number of recorded memories.
