Vintage Story worlds have three types: normal, superflat, and empty. Superflat worlds generate without resources or terrain features, serving as a blank canvas for creators who wish to experiment in creative mode. Vintage Story offers its unique flavor, with troves of different items and building pieces to interact with and use.
Note: Make backups locally to save any necessary files.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Select the Config Files tab and choose Server Config.
4. Navigate to the "WorldConfig": { section.
5. Next to "SaveFileLocation":, enter a new .vcdbs name. This will generate a new world and backup the old world.
6. Edit the "WorldType" to "superflat".
7. Set "PlayStyle" to "creativebuilding" to prepare creative mode.
Note: Creative mode is recommended on superflat servers, as the world will not generate natural resources. Learn how to enable Creative mode here.
8. On the "PlayStyleLangCode" line, edit the value to "creativebuilding".
9. Ensure AllowCreativeMode is set to true.
10. Press the Save button.
11. Start the server.
