Restoring a backup on a Conan Exiles server provides a vital safety net against data loss caused by unexpected server crashes or database corruption. This process allows administrators to revert the game world to a previous state, effectively undoing catastrophic events like unintended base destruction or game-breaking glitches. Maintaining a regular rotation of these saved files ensures that the community's long-term building and character progress remains protected from technical failures.
Note: Make any desired backups locally to avoid losing any necessary files.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Files tab.
4. Find the following directory: /home/container/ConanSandbox/Saved
5. Right-click game.db and choose Rename to save a copy or Delete.
6. Find the desired backup file listed as game_backup_X.db.
7. Right-click the file and choose Rename.
8. Name the file game.db.
