Enabling biome progression on a 7 Days to Die server introduces a dynamic challenge where players must explore different biomes in a specific order to unlock higher-tier resources and more difficult enemies. Turning off biome progression provides a more traditional sandbox experience, with all biomes accessible from the start and immediate access to all resources regardless of player progression. The choice ultimately depends on whether server administrators want to guide player advancement through environmental challenges or provide a completely open world from the outset.
