The Hunger and Thirst multiplier settings on a 7 Days to Die server dictate how quickly a character's survival bars deplete over time and during physical exertion. Recent game updates allow administrators to adjust these values to align the survival mechanics with a community's specific playstyle. Lowering the rate reduces the need to hunt for and boil water, favoring a casual or building-focused experience. Increasing the multiplier creates a punishing environment where securing sustenance remains an urgent threat alongside the undead hordes.
