Adjusting the death penalty setting on a Sunkenland server allows administrators to tailor the core risk and difficulty of exploration to fit their community's playstyle. Enabling a harsher penalty forces players to approach base raiding, underwater diving, and combat with strategic caution. Disabling or easing the penalty removes the frustration of losing hard-earned loot, creating a more relaxed environment focused on casual building and cooperative survival.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Select the Settings tab and choose World Settings.
4. From the Death Penalty dropdown, choose the desired setting.
Note: Items in the hotbar will not drop.
5. Start the server.
