PalSchema is a powerful modding framework for Palworld that allows users to install mods via a JSON file format, rather than the typical pak, lua, or blueprint formats. As a result, mods built with PalSchema tend to be more stable, as they do not directly interfere with the base game's files. By using mods for PalSchema, players can worry less about game updates potentially breaking saves or causing other issues.

Note: Certain PalSchema mods may be unavailable on Nexus Mods or Steam. For Steam-only mods, use a Workshop Collection.
How to Install PalSchema on a Palworld Modded Server
1. Download the Pal Schema mod from NexusMods.
2. Unzip the file into an empty folder.
3. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
4. Stop the server.
5. Go to the Files tab.
6. Find the following directory: /home/container/Pal/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods .
7. Upload the file from step 2.
8. Open the mods.txt file.
9. Add the mods folder name to the file with the following format PalSchema : 1.
10. Press the Save button.
11. Start the server.
How to Install Mods for PalSchema on a Palworld Modded Server
1. Download the desired Pal Schema Mod.
2. Unzip the file into an empty folder.
3. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
4. Stop the server.
5. Go to the Files tab.
6. Find the following directory: /home/container/Pal/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods .
Note: Some mods may have alternate install instructions. Be sure to check the mod description.
7. Open the PalSchema folder.
8. Enter the mods folder.
9. If not present, press Create and choose Create Folder. Name the folder mods.
10. Upload the file from step 2.
11. Start the server.
How to Install PalSchema on a Palworld Client (Nexus)
1. Download the Pal Schema mod from NexusMods.
2. From the Steam library, right-click Palworld and select Manage, then choose Browse local files.
3. Find the following directory: \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Palworld\Pal\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods .
4. Unzip the downloaded file from step 1 into the directory.
5. Open the mods.txt file.
6. Add the mods folder name to the file with the following format PalSchema : 1.
7. Save the file.
8. Install any Pal Schema Mods by extracting them into the following directory: \steamapps\common\Palworld\Pal\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\PalSchema\mods.

9. Launch Palworld.
How to Install PalSchema on a Palworld Client (Steam)
1. From the Steam Library, choose Palworld.
2. Go to the Workshop tab.
3. From the Search Bar, type PalSchema and press Enter.
4. Select the PalSchema mod by Oak.
5. Press Subscribe.
6. Launch Palworld.
7. Open the Options menu.
8. Select Mod Management.
9. Click the Checkbox next to PalSchema.
Note: Any mods that require PalSchema from the Steam Workshop will be automatically installed to the correct location.
10. Press Save.
11. Choose Yes to confirm the changes and restart the game.
