Installing mods on a Romestead server allows for the customization of the core gameplay experience through the addition of new items, custom mechanics, and unique quality-of-life adjustments. Requirement: BepInEx must be installed. Learn how to here.
1. Download the desired mod here. Some mods are not compatible with servers and will log an error on the Console tab.
2. Take note of any mod requirements or prerequisites. Mod file requirements must also be downloaded.
3. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
4. Stop the server.
5. Go to the Files tab.
6. Upload the mod.zip file from step 1.
7. Unarchive the .zip file.
8. Ensure the mod is present in the following directory: /home/container/BepInEx/plugins
Note: Most mod.zip files already include the correct
BepInEx/pluginsfolder structure. Otherwise, re-upload the mod or move it to the correct directory.
9. Start the server.
10. After a complete start, stop the server.
11. Go to the Files tab.
12. Find the following directory: /home/container/BepInEx/plugins
13. Edit any desired mod configs, if any.
14. Press the Save button.
15. Start the server.
How to Install Mods in a Romestead Client
1. Right-click Romestead on Steam, choose Manage and select Browse Local Files.
2. Minimize the folder to use later in the tutorial.
3. Download the desired mod here.
4. Take note of any mod requirements or prerequisites. Mod file requirements must also be downloaded.
5. Extract the mod to the folder from step 2.
6. Ensure the mod is present in the following directory: /BepInEx/plugins
Note: Most mod.zip files already include the correct
BepInEx/pluginsfolder structure. Otherwise, move the mod to the correct directory.
7. Launch Romestead.
8. Go to the Mod Settings tab.
9. Enable the desired mods.
