Installing Stratum on a Vintage Story server significantly optimizes multiplayer performance by smoothing out server-side lag caused by chunk loading, entity ticking, and heavy pathfinding queues. It provides admins with a robust suite of built-in quality-of-life tools, moderation commands, and server-hardening protections to combat bad-client behavior and packet spam. Because it runs entirely on a patched server runtime, it delivers all these performance and management upgrades seamlessly, without requiring players to install any client-side mods.
