Dune: Awakening has a persistent threat, the Sandworm, that players will constantly encounter. The Sandworm will chase players who create consistent vibrations in the sand, especially targeting vehicles. When caught, players will lose their entire inventory to the worm and will be unable to retrieve any items, making it especially punishing. Certain classes, such as the Bene Gesserit, can have an easier time avoiding the Sandworm by quickly sprinting to solid ground.
