Changing the building restrictions and land-claiming on a Dune: Awakening server can allow players to build in a wider range of areas, creating sprawling, large bases that can be constructed around existing structures. Disabling building restrictions can cause certain resources to be hoarded, allowing players to construct around them, so playing with PvP enabled in Hagga Basin is recommended when using this setting. The land claiming settings can be adjusted to allow larger or multiple bases, or to make them smaller to force players into more dedicated locations.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Startup tab.
4. Set whether Building Restrictions are enabled. When disabled, players can build anywhere.
5. Change Max Landclaims to determine how many bases each player can have.
6. Adjust the Max Landclaim Expansion to set how many adjacent tiles bases can expand to.
7. Start the server.
