Stardew Valley servers can use message commands to perform a wide range of functions, from pausing the server to changing fundamental settings. Many of these commands require players to log in with a password before they can be used, preventing players from abusing or fundamentally changing the server without permission. When combined with Console Commands included with SMAPI, server owners can heavily customize their servers.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Start the server to generate the required files.
3. After fully starting, Stop the server.
4. Select the Config Files tab and choose Dedicated Server Config.
5. From the Password field, replace null with "[PasswordHere]".
6. Press Save.
7. Start the server.
8. Launch Stardew Valley.
9. Join the server.
10. Press T to open the chat.
11. Enter the following command /message serverbot login [password]
12. For a list of password-protected commands, enter /message serverbot passwordprotectshow.
