Installing the staging branch on a s&box server provides server administrators with early access to upcoming features and engine updates. This environment is utilized to test custom game modes and code compatibility against unreleased patches before those changes go live on the main branch. Due to the experimental nature of the staging branch, gameplay may be unstable and can cause errors.

1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

2. Stop the server.

3. Go to the Startup tab.

4. On the Steam Beta Branch table, choose Staging.

5. Go to the Home tab.

6. Under the Update Server table, click Update Server.

7. Hit Update to confirm.

8. Wait for the installation to finish.

9. Start the server.

1. From the Steam Library, right-click s&box and click Properties.

2. Go to the Game Versions & Betas tab.

3. On the Selected Game Version table, choose staging.
