Enabling trains and railways on a Rust server significantly enhances player mobility, allowing teams to transport massive amounts of loot and fuel across the map with much higher efficiency than traditional horses or scrap helis. They serve as a unique catalyst for emergent gameplay, creating high-stakes opportunities for rail-side ambushes, rolling base defenses, and competitive control over the underground tunnel network. Furthermore, integrating the rail system fully utilizes the map's procedurally generated infrastructure, transforming static scenery into a functional strategic asset that enriches the overall survival experience.
Note: Generating railways requires resetting the world map. Back up the server to save any necessary files.
