Rust servers can be transferred to BisectHosting quickly and easily, allowing players to retain any progress on the current wipe and pick up from where they left off. Server owners should note that when transferring the server, the IP Address will change, so be sure to warn players ahead of time so they can find the server quickly, as many users find servers by their IP address directly.
Note: Servers can also be transferred using the Server Import Tool.
1. Open the desired server's Files.
2. Download the server folder, and optionally the oxide and HarmonyMods folders, if present, to retain any installed plugins.
3. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
4. Stop the server.
5. Go to the Files tab.
6. From the main directory, upload the Server Files by dragging and dropping.
Note: The server files can be zipped or unzipped, however a zipped folder will transfer more quickly.
7. If the file is zipped, right-click the file and choose Unarchive.
8. If Oxide Plugins were transferred, go to the Startup tab.
9. Ensure Oxide Support is set to Enabled.
10. Start the server.
