Build 42 expands Project Zomboid by focusing on the depth of the late-game survival experience. The update introduces a revised crafting system with specialized workstations for tasks such as blacksmithing and pottery. Verticality increases with the addition of functional basements and skyscrapers reaching up to 32 floors. Players can manage livestock and track wildlife following the inclusion of domestic and wild animals. Technical improvements to the engine refine the lighting system and optimize performance throughout the game world.
Note: The build is highly experimental and may break saves in future updates.
