Editing the "Enable Pause on Empty" setting on a HumanitZ allows server administrators to control whether the game world remains active or frozen while no players are connected. Activating this feature prevents the depletion of vital resources, such as food and fuel, which would otherwise continue to decay in a persistent environment. Conversely, turning off the pause ensures that long-term processes, such as crop growth or base production, continue to progress even when the server is unoccupied.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Select the Config Files tab and choose HumanitZ Server Config.
4. On the Enable Pause on Empty dropdown, choose the desired setting.
-
Enabled- Server is paused when no players are connected. -
Disabled- Server will continue running in-game even when no players are connected.
Note: From the config file, the setting is named "FreezeTime".
