HumanitZ servers can be set up with reserved slots. By enabling the slots, server managers can designate specific players to join and play. These slots can be adjusted alongside the max players to create a whitelist-like feature, which, when compared to a server password, is a much more secure way to make a server private. Players can find the required SteamIDs on popular sites such as steamid.io or on their profile page.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Open the Settings dropdown and choose Startup.
4. Adjust the Reserve Slots setting.
5. The reserve slots take up a Max Player slot. For example, if both settings are set to the same number, only players listed in the reserved file can join.
6. Go to the Files tab.
7. Open the HumanitZServer folder.
8. Open the Create menu and choose Create File.
9. Enter the SteamID64 for all players to be added, separated per line.
10. Once finished editing, choose Create File.
11. Enter F_ReservedSlots.txt for the file name, then click Create File.
12. Start the server.
