HumanitZ servers can utilize the Steam beta branches to control the current version of the game. By opting into a Steam beta, players can test new or upcoming features on the experimental branch, or revert to older versions for mod/save compatibility. Changing the current branch on a HumanitZ server is an advanced feature and should only be modified for specific circumstances.

1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

2. Stop the server.

3. Go to the Startup tab.

4. Ensure Auto-Update is set to True.

5. Navigate to the [Advanced] Steam Beta Branch section.

6. Enter the desired Branch Name. Available branches can be found here.

7. Start the server.

How to Install the Beta Branches on a HumanitZ Client

1. From the Steam Library, right-click HumanitZ and select Properties.

2. Go to the Game Versions & Betas tab.

3. Under Selected Game Version, choose a beta branch.
