HumanitZ servers can utilize the Steam beta branches to control the current version of the game. By opting into a Steam beta, players can test new or upcoming features on the experimental branch or revert to older versions for mod/save compatibility. Changing the current branch on a HumanitZ server is an advanced feature that should be modified only for specific circumstances.

Note: Some branches are client-only and cannot be used by the server.

1. Copy the branch name from here.

2. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

3. Stop the server.

4. Select the Settings tab and choose Startup.

5. On the [Advanced] Steam Beta Branch table, enter the branch name from step 1.

6. Go to the Home tab.

7. Under the Update Server table, click Update Server.

8. Press the Update button.

9. Wait for the installation to finish.

10. Start the server.

How to Install Beta Branches on a HumanitZ Client

1. From the Steam Library, right-click HumanitZ and select Properties.

2. Go to the Game Versions & Betas tab.

3. Under Selected Game Version, choose a beta branch.
