A StarRupture server can install mods that will be active for all players on the server. Users can choose from a large variety of mods, such as increased power generation, stack size, or gather rate. However, server owners should be aware that players can also install mods on their own clients and still be allowed to connect to the server. Ensure that the server is properly secured with a password to prevent users from exploiting with local mods.

How to Install Mods on a StarRupture Server

1. Download the desired mod from a site like NexusMods.

2. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

3. Stop the server.

4. Go to the Files tab.

5. Find the following directory: /home/container/StarRupture/Content/Paks.

6. Upload the mods .zip file by dragging and dropping.

7. Unzip the folder by pressing Right-click > Unarchive.

Note: Some mods may contain optional files, check the mod description to identify what files are required.

8. Start the server.

How to Install StarRupture Mods Locally

Note: Most mods installed locally will still be active when playing on a server.

1. Download the desired mod from a site like NexusMods.

2. From the Steam library, Right-click StarRupture, hover Manage, then choose Browse local files.

3. Find the following directory: /StarRupture/StarRupture/Content/Paks.

4. Transfer the mods .zip file into the folder.

5. Unzip the mod folder, check the mod's description for any optional or unnecessary files.
