Project Zomboid allows players to modify various settings on their server, including the rarity of different item types that appear throughout the world. By changing this setting, players can make any item type more or less abundant, creating easier or stricter survival conditions. Making items like food more abundant can allow players to experiment with recipes that would otherwise be difficult to source ingredients for.

How to Change the Loot Rarity on a Project Zomboid Server (Panel)
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Files tab.
4. Find the following directory: /home/container/.cache/server
5. Open the [SaveName]_SandboxVars.lua file.

8. The Loot Factor settings are a legacy system and only apply to Build 41 and earlier.
9. Press the Save button.
10. Start the server.
