A Veloren server allows users to change the default PvP settings, referred to as 'battlemode', to be either an enforced or an optional rule. With the per-player setting enabled, players can change their battlemode every five minutes. With the global setting, they are restricted to one mode. This can be a great tool to allow players to opt out of player-versus-player combat, and can also be established through various server rules regarding PvP.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Choose the Config Files dropdown menu and select Server Config.
4. Navigate to the battle_mode: line.
5. Change the value to the desired mode. Available values and descriptions are listed below.

6. Once finished editing, choose Save.
7. Start the server.
How to Switch Battlemodes
1. When logged in to the server, press Enter to open the chat box.
2. Use the /battlemode command to check the current mode.
3. To change modes, enter /battlemode [pve/pvp].
Note: Changing battlemodes is only available when the config is set to
PerPlayer(default: [mode]).
4. After switching, there will be a Five-Minute Cooldown before the mode can be changed again.
