Uploading a save file to a HumanitZ server ensures the persistence of the world progress within a continuous multiplayer environment. By uploading, the player allows their base building, resource depletion, and all changes made to the game world to be permanently stored and loaded for all participants. This process is essential for seamless, long-term cooperative gameplay, as it allows other players to continue interacting with the world exactly as it was last left, even when the original host or player is offline.
1. Hit the Windows + R keys on the keyboard to open the Run menu.
2. Enter the following: %LOCALAPPDATA%\HumanitZ .
3. Find the following directory: \AppData\Local\HumanitZ\Saved\SaveGames\SaveList\Default.
4. Take note of the desired save files. The local save name is set upon creating a new game.
5. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
6. Start and Join the server.
7. Stop the server.
8. Go to the Files tab.
9. Enter the HumanitZServer folder.
10. Open the PlayerIDMapped.txt file.
11. Copy the two IDs listed.
12. Find the following directory: /home/container/HumanitZServer/Saved/SaveGames/Savelist/Default.
13. Upload the save files from step 4.
14. Enter the uploaded Save Folder.
15. Right-click the Host_Offline.sav file and press Rename.
16. Paste the IDs from step 11 in the following format: SteamID@NetID.sav and press Rename.
Note: The SteamID is the first ID listed in PlayerIDMapped, and the NetID is the second.
17. Go to the Startup tab.
18. From the Save Name field, input the name from step 9.
