Installing an unsupported PaperMC build on a Minecraft server provides immediate access to the latest features and performance enhancements that are still in development. PaperMC experimental versions can offer significant improvements and are often the first to support the latest Minecraft updates. Additionally, the platform maintains an archive of older builds, which can be useful for servers that require a specific version for compatibility reasons. However, these versions carry the risk of bugs and instability.
Note: Unsupported builds can be unstable and may cause world corruption, lag, or server faults. A new world is highly recommended when using it.
