Auto-restart is a vital feature for maintaining the health and availability of a Renown server. It automatically executes scheduled restarts, which is beneficial because it clears server memory and prevents performance degradation, often referred to as "server lag," over time. Furthermore, setting a periodic auto-restart can help finalize specific changes or updates and ensure the game environment stays fresh and stable for players, minimizing unexpected crashes or service interruptions.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Startup tab.
4. Take note of the Map Rotation gamemode. Learn how to change gamemodes here.
5. Go to the Config Files tab and choose Server Settings (Game.ini).
6. Navigate to the desired gamemode header.
7. Under the gamemode header, enter the following with the desired time in minutes: ServerRebootTimeMinutes=120 .
Note: Server reboot times are separated by game mode.
8. Press the Save button.
9. Start the server.
