How to Adjust the Difficulty Settings on a V Rising Server

V Rising has many available settings to customize servers and their difficulties. While multiple preset options are available, some players may wish to delve into specific settings, such as the Limits on Castle Territory or the duration that players can stand in the sun. The options listed below are specific settings that can make the game's PvE easier or more difficult. Settings such as the speed of refining items, the cost of crafting, or the inventory stack size are commonly adjusted to speed up or slow down progression.

1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

2. Stop the server.

3. Go to the Config Files tab and select Game Settings.

4. Make any edits according to the table below.

5. Press the Save button.

6. Start the server.

Note: Be cautious when making edits. If any settings are set beyond their Minimum or Maximum values the server will crash on startup.

Difficulty Settings

Setting Description
"GameDifficulty": "Normal", Sets a difficulty preset, adjust from the Startup tab.
Warning: This will adjust many other settings to the chosen difficulty 'preset'.
"GameModeType": "PvE", Changes the server to PvP or PvE .
"DeathContainerPermission": "OnlySelf", Sets who can loot death containers.
Accepted Values - Anyone , ClanMembers, OnlySelf .
"BloodBoundEquipment": true, Sets whether certain equipment items like weapons will stay in the player's inventory through death.
"TeleportBoundItems": false, Makes ore and other resources not able to be transported via waygates.
"InventoryStacksModifier": 1.0, Multiplies the maximum stack size for resources.

"DropTableModifier_General": 1.0, Multiplies all drop tables, granting more or less drops from kills and chests.
      Minimum - 0.25

"DropTableModifier_Missions": 1.0, Multiplies all drop tables, granting more or less drops from servant missions.

"MaterialYieldModifier_Global": 1.0, Multiplies the amount of materials received from nodes.
